Tulsa Track Hosts Ford-Shelby Rendezvous
There was as many as 2000 cars that came along with their owners to
Tulsa, Oklahoma to test their vehicles as well as their driving skills.
The event started with Road Course activities and culminated at the drag
strip. Dr. Audrey had as her ride a Mustang developed and prepped by
Dynatek Racing. Dr. Audrey quickly proved her skill on the track by
consistently being the fastest driver at the event. Dr. Audrey also
provided instructional advice to many of the drivers. Some of Dr.
Audrey's friends were there also as George and Travis Huisman of Classic
Design Concepts and Scott Hoag of Mustang Racing Technology.
After the road course events Dr. Audrey decided to try her talents at
the drag strip. She quickly established herself with some very quick
reaction times and made it to the semi-final round for the ladies.
Dr.
Audrey then went up against the men before it was time to go to the well
attended banquet.

Dr. Audrey Meets Ford CEO Alan Mulally!
Dr. Audrey is shown taking over the reins of Ford Motor Company for
approximately 20 seconds. She is accompanied by Gary Kingsinger who is
a noted California artist. During this meeting Mr. Mulally proved
himself to be a very genuine human being with an interesting down on the
farm demeanor. However, once he switched into a decision making mode he
turned into an interesting. efficient, and effective executive.
As further proof of the validity of this analysis, Mr. Mulally has been
honored with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)"Manufacturing
Leadership" Award. He will receive this award at the annual SAE
Foundation Banquet to be held on May 22, 2008 at the Detroit Marriott
Renaissance Center's Renaissance Ballroom.
I will not go into a dissertation on how Ford got into this shape.
Suffice it to say that Mr. Mulally is up to the challenge to get us out
of this mess as he works his message through the ranks to the beat of
One Ford, One Team, One Plan, and One Goal.

The net benefit to Ford Motor Company is well over 1000 percent. The

time of turmoil it is great to be around someone who continues to
support the company through this downslide. Thanks to Dr. Audrey, many
of the NFL players and alumni have purchased Ford products. Reggie

Summer Interns Listen to Dr.Audrey and Learn
GT 500 and A Ford GT Help Out
Dr. Audrey addressed the Ford Summer Interns recently at their picnic in
Hines Park. As the picture shows she had their attention. Dr. Audrey
was able to present her message in such a way as to captivate, inspire,
and motivate these gifted interns by bridging any communication gap.
Dr. Audrey worked diligently behind the scenes to work with Ford Public
affairs and the SVT office to obtain a GT 500 and a Ford GT for the
event. If anyone believes that these vehicles do not have the young
peoples interest then you should should have been there to feel their
excitement.
When the vehicles arrived the rather large group went to the cars like
nails drawn to a magnate. Mr. Ford calls the Ford GT a "pace car for
an
entire company." If he was there he would have bubbled over with
pride
at the enthusiasm demonstrated for the vehicles.
In her discussion with the students Dr. Audrey used the vehicles to
demonstrate the team work that it took to get them there and the
importance of sharing these vehicles with the students. Dr. Audrey
noted that one of the young ladies in the group from the "University of
Florida was restoring a Mustang" and a young man from Purdue University
was "keeping his Cobra on the road".
"This event is truly inspirational to all concerned in that the life
blood of Ford Motor Company is blue and flowing", Dr. Audrey said.
Dr.
Audrey shared many gifts with the group that she had gathered through
her association with the Ford Motorsports Enthusiasts. "I believe

Driving Skills for Life a HUGE Success!
Dr. Audrey Delivers With Ford Excitement!
James Graham is the manager and single point of
contact for the Ford Motor Company program Driving Skills For Life (DSFL)
teen driving school. This event for teens was a well coordinated
event the culminated at the Michigan Proving Grounds. The event
covered 3 days with a different group of teens for each day.
Approximately 200 teens showed up each day and some of them brought
their parents in tow. The teens had the unique experience of
being tutored by race drivers and race instructors. The teens
experienced many driving situations with Ford vehicles including a
slalom, accident avoidance, and skid pad. They also had guest
speakers including Camilo Pardo (Ford GT Designer), Lem Barney
(Detroit Lion and NFL Hall of Fame), and our own Dr. Audrey.
There were vehicles on exhibit which included the
Ford GT and GT 500. However, the hit of the experience was the
skid pad with the new Mustangs. The teens not only learned
driving skills, they learned them in a new Mustang. They bubbled
over with enthusiasm for the Mustang before and after this experience.
The media was there and this, I believe, was the only good news for
Mr. Ford and the company this week.
Mr. Graham came up with a great idea and that was
"as long as we have the parents here, let's put them in group and
take them through the program". This was a stroke of genius
as the parents came up with Kudos for the program that were good to
hear. Their enthusiasm equaled that of the their children.
An unexpected storm surfaced that forced the program
to delay for over an hour. It was so strong that we had to take
cover in one of the vehicle buildings. Jim Graham was up to the
task and kept the program moving. MPG personnel rolled into
action and set up an audio and video system in minutes. Mr.
Graham and his team kept our guests occupied with lunch and
presentations. It was a great save brought on by an overpowering
storm.
Dr. Audrey bubbled over with enthusiasm at the
opportunity to represent our great company and its employees.
She shared her credentials with the teens and they were impressed and
shared this with Dr. Audrey as they approached her for autographs
afterward. The parents came up to Dr. Audrey and repeated how
great it was to have a role model with the expertise that Dr. Audrey
demonstrates through her speaking and driving skills. As Dr.
Audrey put it, "I am so happy to represent our company and
receive the endorsement of the parents and teens." "It
is truly a moving experience to show what our products and employees
can do." "MPG deserves a great vote of thanks for
making all of us comfortable" "This proves that when
great things are needed the employees of this company will lead the
way." "Jim Boerger's people did an extraordinary job
of accommodating and making this event memorable."
"This proves that when great things are needed

Dr. Audrey
Invited to 'Women and their Cars' in Birmingham
Ford GT Designer Camilo Pardo "Loans" Dr. Audrey His GT!
Dr. Audrey was invited to join the Meadowbrook Concourse D'Elegance
'Women and their Cars' car show held in Birmingham. The cars were
extraordinary. There was a Packard, 1953 Buick convertible, and a 1961
Rolls Royce present as a sample of the vehicles that were there.
However, Ford was up to the task of competing against this competition
as Public Affairs helped out Dr. Audrey with a Red with white stripe GT
500 and a Tungsten colored Ford GT. Camilo Pardo also joined Dr. Audrey
with his white Ford GT. There was also a replicar 1968 Shelby Mustang.
The bottom line is this: Ford stole the show!
Dr. Audrey was there to sign autographs and answer questions about the
Ford products. The combination worked as countless shoppers stopped to
see the GT 500 and the Ford GT's. Mr. Pardo made himself available to
pose for pictures and interact with the shoppers. Their admiration for
meeting the designer of the Ford GT matched the disbelief in meeting a
female race with the racing, academic, and job qualifications to back up
her racing. This combination is unmatched in racing. No other
company
has the benefit of this background so it is easy to understand why the
other established and prominent owners and shoppers wanted autographs
and felt comfortable with Dr. Audrey.
The underlying current of discussion with the shoppers is that there is
excitement inside of Ford Motor Company which runs contrary to what is
reported in the news media. Ford was a last minute addition to this

Subject: Audrey Update. Dr. Audrey invited to open a High Performance
Dealership
Dr. Audrey Attends Mustang Dealership Opening
Dr. Audrey was invited to attend the opening of a unique dealership.
This dealership caters to the specialty customer. It features Ford
power in all applications. Its main attraction is the Mustang. 6
Cylinder or 8 Cylinder Dynatek Racing (DR) can make your "Mustang have
an attitude." If a special Mustang is not to your liking then how
about
a 1000 horsepower Ford Replica GT 40? Are you still shopping? How
about a Cobra coupe or convertible? Or a Noble?
The dealership is spacious and clean. It has scale model replicas of
Ford race cars that are reasonably priced along with a line of DR
clothing. Approximately 1800 visitors came to the dealership over 2
days.
Dr. Audrey was interviewed by 3 FM stations and 1 AM station plus an
interview with the voice of racing whose name I can't recall. Several
people that came said that they had heard the interviews and came to the
dealer to meet Dr. Audrey. Dr. Audrey did not let them down as she
spent time with each of them leaving them with a sense of pride for
purchasing Ford products and their interest in "Ford Power" as well as
spending time with a World Champion.
This is a "Bold Move" in the unlikely venue of Warren, Ohio.
Yes, Ford
in this unlikely of areas has a following. It was a "Bold Move"
to
invite Dr. Audrey to help open the dealership and have her sign
autographs. It paid off with customers who now think of Ford as opposed
to whatever else is out there that thinks they can run with our cars.
I'll leave you with the comments of one of the radio stations and it
went something like this. "You came from Dearborn to support this
dealership?" After the reply of "yes". The
interviewer went on to say
that this was "great to have a Ford Racer here in Warren, Ohio."
Dr.
Audrey said that she was "great to be here and that there are lot of
great Americans working in our plants to give you these Mustangs,
engines, and parts." "Ford is a unique company and I am very
proud to
be here."

Rain Can't Stop Dr.Audrey! "Escape" proves its Versatility
Dr. Audrey was invited on July 14th to sign autographs at the Rolling
Car Show in Ann Arbor. It was raining and she was there to sign
autographs. So, she pulled the Escape in front end first, popped the
rear hatch, and began signing autographs. Once again, the picture
proves the old adage, "Put a great driver and great vehicle in dismal
circumstances and they will make the most of the situation." I ask
you,
"would this qualify as a Bold Move?"

Supplier Diversity Development! What is a race car driver doing there?
Drawing attention to the Ford Motor Company's commitment to a diverse
work force and supplier base. And it worked! The Ford booth easily
attracted more traffic than the other booths with Dr. Audrey present.
The fact that she is a Ford employee and a female as well as a
successful race car driver is a credit to the company in itself.
However, when you add in her successful business career and academic
accomplishments it is a great win for the company. Those visiting the
booth agreed. As one journalist said about Dr. Audrey, "Ford is
sitting
on a gold mine!" Dr. Audrey replied, "I like to think of all the
people
that support me at all levels in the company as the gold mine."
"Employees and friends throughout Ford, Visteon, Midwest Management,
Dynatek, Rehagen, and more make me welcome and keep me in their
thoughts, newsletters, and events." "I represent all of them

Dr. Audrey Passes Daytona Prototype Test -Takes 3 Seconds off of Expected Times!
The Daytona Prototype shown on the track at VIR is being driven by Dr.
Audrey and prepared by ADI Motorsports. The vehicle was all new to Dr.
Audrey including the sequential shifter that she had to get used to.
The track folks showed up and predicted that Dr. Audrey would turn laps
in the 1 minute 35 second range (1:35") They were correct for the
first
3 laps. She was already at the 1:35". Dr. Audrey adapted very
comfortably to the new vehicle with each lap being faster that the
previous lap. Dr. Audrey's final lap was 1:3206". This was
during mid
day and it was hot and muggy. Dr. Audrey said that "the car was as
fast
as it was beautiful". The reason that the this picture is taken
coming
at me is that by the time it got where I was taking pictures it was
gone. This 500 horsepower beauty sounded as good as it looks and with
Dr. Audrey behind the wheel it was poetry in motion. After exiting the
vehicle Dr. Audrey said, "Thank you to all of the crew that put such a
great car together for me to test in." "It was dialed in
perfectly".
It takes a lot of people working closely together to put a machine
together for a test like this. It takes the driver to put the final
touches on the painting to make everyone concerned realize what a their
efforts look like on the race track. Dr. Audrey did just that.

However, it can be safely said that Dr. Audrey stole the show with her
delivery and message. Several of the Auto 21 executives stated that
this "was a speech that was anything but boring." "It was

Driving Skills For Life Comes to Huron! Superintendent
Tom Hosler Pioneers Program
Huron schools Superintendent, Tom Hosler, has been in
contact with the Ford Motor Company to roll out a new Driving Skills For Life (DSFL)
program. Mr. Hosler has been looking for a way to continue a driver
education program to replace the traditional driver education classes that are
no longer offered in most high schools. Mr. Hosler has worked closely with
Mr. James Graham of the Ford Fund to bring this program to our community.
This program will be introduced to school administrators in Wayne County by Mr.
Hosler.
The reasons for the program are many including the fact
that an average of 6,000 teens, ages 16-19, die in vehicle crashes. The
DSFL program helps young drivers improve their skills in four key areas that are
present in more than 60% of vehicle crashes. These factors are (1) Hazard
Recognition, (2) Vehicle Handling, (3) Speed Management, and (4) Space
Management.
DSFL is primarily a web-based educational program.
Teens, as well as parents, can visit www.drivingskillsforlife.com.
This site has the DSFL learning modules and on the four skills with tests.
There will be additional program elements that include ride
and drives that enable teens to get behind the wheel and experience exercises on
the four skills. This program was developed in conjunction with the
Governors Highway Safety Association, a panel of safety experts, and the Ford
Motor Company.
Audrey Named Spokesperson for "Driving Skills For
Life"
Ford Motor Company has selected Dr. Audrey Zavodsky
as spokesperson for their "Driving Skills For Life" program. By
selecting Dr. Audrey, Ford Motor Company is sending a strong credibility
message of its belief that every life is important and only the best will
suffice to lead this program. Dr. Audrey is a world champion in the
American Le Mans series, the SCCA series, and the Grand American circuit.
Dr. Audrey is also a certified hi-performance instructor with the Number #1
rated Bondurant School of High Performance driving. Dr. Audrey said that
"This is a great honor to be selected as spokesperson for this program.
I believe in these skills because I have personally witnessed there success in
students that have applied them." "It is especially important
for me because this is a breakthrough for a great company that builds some great
cars".

Dr. Audrey Participates In A
Work Life Balance Panel
Author Fawn Gerber
Joins WIM at WHQ
Dr. Audrey was invited to
participate with a Women In Manufacturing event at World Headquarters to discuss
Work Life Balance in a question and answer session.
WIM
Helps Employees Achieve Work Life Balance
By Mary Ann Hupp
| DEARBORN,
Mich., Jan. 4, 2005 (FCN) -- Is it possible to
rise to the top while making sure your kids have a hot
breakfast? What about training for a marathon and
fitting a 10-mile run into a 10-hour workday? How can
women and men succeed in business and have active lives
outside the office?
Women in
Manufacturing (WIM), an affiliate of Professional
Women’s Network, a Ford Motor Company Employee
Resource Group, addressed that question with an event
that covered “How to Succeed While Maintaining Work
Life Balance.” Acclaimed author Fawn Germer spoke and
a panel of five Ford Motor Company executives tackled
the topic.
In
Germer’s book, “Hard Won Wisdom,” she interviewed
business and community leaders for advice including News
Analyst Cokie Roberts, former Surgeon General Dr.
Joycelyn Elders and conservationist Jane Goodall. Germer
said that the majority of women she talked to believed
that in order to achieve success and happiness, the
single most important thing to do is take risks.
Germer also
said it is also important to identify your purpose in
work and at home. She said employees should determine
what is important to them by asking the question,
“What if you had a week, or a year to live, what would
you do?”
“I love
my work, but my work isn’t me. Is it about titles and
paychecks? It comes down to knowing what counts and what
matters,” said Germer.
Marsha
Winegarden, director for New Model Programs, sat on the
panel and said it was important for her to be involved
because all employees have to sometimes make choices
that are right for them and their families.
“My
family comes first. I won't miss something that's really
important to my husband or boys. While I work a lot of
hours and travel, I haven't missed parent teacher
conferences,” said Winegarden.
Winegarden
also said it is imperative to feel good about your job.
You can’t be effective or efficient if you don’t.
“It is
important that our employees recognize that work life
balance isn't a one size fits all solution. It varies by
individual and where we are in our life and career.
Being able to make choices and be flexible is a huge
step forward, and will allow them to be far more
satisfied than they are today,” Winegarden added.
Audrey
Zavodsky, corporate nurse, Employee Relations, was one
of the managers on the panel and said that work life
balance can be maintained while having a quality
lifestyle, achieving both professional and personal
goals and performing job requirements. Zavodsky said
that it is beneficial to have an updated integrated
planner with personal, social and work appointments.
Germer met
with employees while touring the Automotive Alliance
International Plant (AAI) and also offered to network
with some employees prior to her talk at World
Headquarters. Cheryl Blacher, technical installer, IT,
was one of the employees that took her up on her offer.
Blacher said it’s valuable for groups like WIM to
support events like this.
“It is
important to be reminded that all of us face similar
challenges, no matter how senior or junior we may be in
the company," said Blacher. "If we are
confident in our company's support when life takes
priority, we are likely to respond with greater loyalty
and enthusiasm when work demands are high.”
According
to Blacher, the most interesting part was the panel
discussion that included Winegarden, Zavodsky, North
American Vehicle Operations 6-Sigma Deployment Director
O.J. Alvarado, President, CEO, COO, Ford Asia Pacific
Phil Spender, and Engineering Director Nancy Gioia.
Blacher said it was fascinating to hear the panel
describe their work life challenges and how they had
managed them.
“Seeing
them live really emphasized Ford's commitment to its
employees, and their commitments to their families,
co-workers, and team members. I saw how hard these
people had worked to be successful and some of the
sacrifices they had made for their careers. But they
still made time to enjoy their lives and their
families,” Blacher explained.
That’s
exactly what Alvarado wanted to share with the employees
in attendance. She said that everyone faces tough
choices throughout their careers, but there are simple
things that employees can do to further succeed in life
and business.
“Be true
to yourself, your family and to the company.
Communication is essential and so is honesty. Be
organized and plan your days accordingly and when
emergencies arise have a person that you can rely
on," Alvarado suggested. "Ford people are very
understanding. Don't underestimate this for a minute.”

Audrey welcomed family after family to sit in the car and enjoy the feeling of a
genuine Ford powered race car. Their were clowns, miniature passenger
trains, old Ford pick up trucks, and many others that looked like they just
rolled out of the factory. The day's events culminated in a parade
of cars through the town of Hapeville. You had to be there to appreciate

Each year the Ford Motor Credit PWN

Dr. Audrey borrowed on her racing experience to call the race with enthusiasm.

all concerned and is a great morale booster for the various teams. Dr.
Audrey said she was proud to be a part of this superb event. Because

"Audrey, It was of the utmost pleasure to
meet you this past weekend at the SVTOA IRP Invasion. I have been to many
events over the past couple of years and I cannot remember a time that I felt
the way I did returning home from this one. Both your instruction during seat
time, and the "event" of being a passenger while you piloted my car
around the track was more than I was truly expecting this weekend. I always
come in with high hopes to any course event my wife and I attend, yet this one
truly stood out to me as an outstanding."
"I took 10 seconds off of my best lap time
after one session with her."
Dr. Audrey truly believes that owners and
prospective owners of our vehicles need to experience the people who believe
in the company, its products, and its people. I'm sure that you will
agree that she is all of that and more.

Several Visteon employees came by to say "hello" and that they still
followed Dr. Audrey's exploits on the track.
Scott Hoag' Surf Chaser Cobra of Mustang Racing
Technologies provided the backdrop for Dr. Audrey. The Mustang
team made sure that she was comfortable by picking her up in a golf cart so
she wouldn't have to walk from the parking area to Scott's car. They
provided a chair and table and Mother Nature provided a beautiful day for this
event. This event had giveaways, contests, music, 'Bullitt' the horse,
and many, many other items for the Mustang enthusiasts.
Events such as this one does not happen by chance.
They are well planned by the Mustang team and executed to perfection.
Thank you for letting Dr. Audrey and I be a part of your event.

New Hire
Bumper to Bumper Terminology Review
Participants' Rate
Review a Huge Success!
Dr. Audrey held a 'review' for new
hires along with Ford Motorsport's Enthusiasts Mike Eggleton, Dick Minnick,
Chris Finney, and Dr. Rich. The new hires listened with an attentive ear
as each presenter explained the parts along with their names. This event
ended up with a team building exercise at the culmination of the event.
PWN Learns
About 'NVH'
Learning Curve is
Straight Up!
Professional Womens' Network members (PWN)
were invited to participate in a Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) clinic
organized by Dr. Audrey. The women participants were enthralled with the
attention and measurements that Ford uses to meet or beat the competition.
Many in the group did not have a comprehensive knowledge of the field while
others did not realize the importance that Ford Motor Company places on NVH.
In
Summary…..
Dr. Audrey continues to move the needle
for women and employees of the company through her innovative approach to

Ford Chinese Association Rates Review
#1
Bumper to Bumper
Reviews Are What The Doctor Ordered
The Ford Chinese Association wanted to
know more about the components and history of the vehicles that Ford Motor
Company produces. They contacted Dr. Audrey and she arranged and
orchestrated a review using 4 Ford vehicles. Dr. Audrey invited retired
Ford employee Chris Finney and present employees Michael Eggleton and Eric Penn
to assist with this event. Each of these fine individuals are Ford
Motorsports Enthusiasts (FME) members.
After the vehicles components are
reviewed Dr. Audrey has devised a team building exercise to culminate the
learning experience. This exercise was greeted with rave reviews by the
participants. Dr. Audrey began the meeting by describing the great
vehicles that Ford has. She then related her racing experiences which was
overwhelmingly greeted with requests for her 'hero' card. The team
building winners were given FME graphic designed posters to celebrate their team
winning attitude.

Classic Design, Chris Finney,
Dr. Audrey Join the U.S. Marines
Family Day a Great Success!
Dr. Audrey was invited to join the
United States Marine Division stationed at Selfridge Air National Guard base for
the annual family day. This event was interrupted last year when they
deployed for the Iraq war. Master Sergeant Moler met Dr. Audrey on a
flight a few months ago and recently contacted her to
join them. The Marines thought that it would be great if Dr. Audrey
could get a Ford GT for the event. Dr. Audrey tried to make this happen
with no success. She was undaunted by Ford Motor Company's inability to
make this happen and contacted George Huisman of Classic Design (CDC).
George came through with flying colors by providing the event with his super
customized Ford F 150. Dr. Audrey then contacted Chris Finney and Chris
provided his spotless 1985 Mustang quartermiler. Master Sergeant Jenkins
coordinated the effort. The net result was a fun filled event for the
Marines and their families with three great attractions added to their event.
The CDC F150, the Chris Finney Mustang, and guest of honor, Dr. Audrey.
Dr. Audrey and her friends intermixed with the Marines
and thanked them for a great effort and win in Iraq. Dr. Audrey told them
that everyone "appreciated and thanked them for the sacrifices that they
made including being separated from their families". She was also
quick to thank George Huisman (Jeff) and Chris Finney
for providing their vehicles for the Marines and their families to enjoy.

"Wows" The Public at the Ann Arbor Car Show
Scott Hoag and Dr. Audrey Team Up
For Success
The Ann Arbor car show is beginning to give the Ann Arbor
Art Festival a run for its money. The cars came and the people came in
record numbers to see the many vehicles. The Ford GT along with the
Mustang GTR brought the crowd to their attentive best. Then the Mustang
Racing Technologies (MRT) Mach I race car along with the SEMA show Cobra 'Surf
Chaser' put on the finishing touches to a great coup by Ford Motor Company
vehicles. Top Hat John spent a considerable amount of his time reviewing
the MRT Mustangs along with Iggy Productions. The MRT Mustangs became a
gathering point for several notables. The impeccably prepared cars had the
crowd salivating to just sit in or be around such beautiful functional vehicles.
Of course, it didn't hurt to have a World Champion race driver there to sign
autographs along with one of the main drivers behind the Mach I Mustang.
The chemistry between Dr. Audrey and Scott Hoag and their passion for racing
entertained the crowds.

Dr. Audrey Invited to Sebring, SVT Event
The Special Vehicle Team (SVT) invited Dr. Audrey to a SVTOA (Special
Vehicle Team Owners Association) event. The event was held at the
world
renown Sebring, Florida race track. The SVT team invites owners of these
vehicle an opportunity to get together and show off their vehicles,
participate in an autocross event and road course event. SVT engineers are
on hand to answer and assist the owners with any questions that they may
have with their vehicles.
Dr. Audrey was one of several driving instructors invited to demonstrate
proven racing techniques to these owners in a safe and cordial manner. It
was during the autocross event on Saturday that Dr. Audrey first grabbed the
attention of the many owners as she flew through the course in a smooth,
concise manner, demonstrating the capabilities of the vehicle she was
driving. The Rehagen and Steeda Ford Cobra's barked their response in a
positive fashion to the inputs from the cockpit. The organizer of this
event said, "that is the way you go through an autocross course" as he
was
commenting on Dr. Audrey's driving to the many driver's, friends, and family
that were present. The "buzz" soon started to go around as to
"just who is
this driver."
On Sunday the road course event took center stage. By then the Dr. Audrey
had the appreciating attention of the audience as they watched her apply the
power of the various SVT cars to the road course. Many great comments were
heard such as "I didn't know my car could do that", "this car is
better than
I imagined," "I'm glad that I came back to Ford," "she knows
an awful lot
about the product", and many, many more positive comments.
As the day went on the positive comments continued to be heard as Dr. Audrey
mingled with the crowd. Several seemed confused as to "why isn't she
used
as a spokesman for the company". Others were surprised "at her
knowledge of
the SVT cars." Many were astonished that she was a "professional
race
driver" and "that she would take the time to spend a weekend with
us." Dr.
Audrey autographed several race cards for the appreciating drivers and
"thanked them for taking so much pride in their SVT products."

Child to Work Day...A Huge Success!
Thank you for all of
your efforts!
We would like to take a moment and thank
everyone involved in pulling together the 2004 VOGO Take Your Child to Work
Day. We had over 179 children who attended this event with their
families. These children (and even some adults) enjoyed activities
ranging from creating "automobiles" utilizing reusable material in
'Arts and Scraps' to robotics and even automobile design and
"painting" (finger painting that is).
Lastly a thank you
to the numerous volunteers who manned the
events, gathered the pictures,
and spent their own personal time preparing for this day.

This Clinic Was Great!
"I wish I had this 10 years ago when I hired in"
On March 31st a clinic was conducted at Ford Motor Company's POEE building
for the women in Ford Motor Company on engine components and how they
interact and there purpose. FME (Ford Motorsports Enthusiasts) provided
the
expertise and support under the direction of Dr. Audrey Zavodsky. Scott
Hoag and Scott Whitehead were the guides that made the engine maze
understandable. Dave and Matt Nowlin, Chris Finney, and Theresa Young
provided the support for the event.
The event was to last 1.5 hours. However, the enthusiasm of the group
carried the event on for a total time of 2.5 hours. The interest and
questions from the group made everyone learners that now appreciate all the
engineering and expertise that go in to an engine.
There are future events that are in the planning stages that are designed to
make certain that Ford has the best and most informed work force in the
world.

2/23/04 Update
PWN-WiR/FME Combine For An Industry First!
>
> Employee Enthusiasm is Returning
>
> Professional Women's Network-Women in Racing(PWN-WiR) chairperson Dr.
Audrey Zavodsky had the idea that it would be of interest and benefit to the
Ford Motor Company and its employees to share the same language when talking
about automobiles. Dr. Audrey decided to get in touch with Scott Hoag,
former Mustang Mach I Manager, Mark-Tami Hotta, Kevin Markham, and Jim Flynn of
the DPG to develop an information presentation primarily for women.
The information would revolve around the correct naming of parts that are in an
automobile excluding the drivetrain and underbody components. The correct
naming of parts would give the company an edge in that everyone would begin
talking and understanding the same language. For instance, what is a wind
screen and where is located. What is a radiator support and is this the
same as a horse collar?
>
> In the planning process, it was determined that 20 to 50 employees would
respond. The demand for this type of event was so great that it had to be
cut off at 160 applicants. The DPG team came up with an additional idea to
drive home vehicle dynamic characteristics. The plan would encompass two
laps on the handling track for the first 60 employees to check in at the PRC.
The vehicles that were used for this demonstration were a Mercury Maruader, a
Lincoln LS, and a Mustang Bullitt. Mark-Tami an accomplished solo and road
course driver, Kevin Markham an accomplished driver in his own right, and Dr.
Audrey a professional road and oval circuit driver would provide the expertise
necessary to give the participants the great experience of Ford product vehicle
handling superiority.
>
> FME members Scott Hoag, Dr. Richard Zavodsky, Chris Finney, Dave Nowlin,
and Theresa Young assisted with the event. Chris and Dave are also retired
from the company and are indicative of a rich resource FME is tapping into.
Scott brought his award winning custom Mustang Cobra Convertible to the event
and Dr. Audrey brought a 2004 red Mustang GT in to use as teaching tools.
>
> When the participants arrived they were enthusiastic and eager to go
through the cars and the components with the presenters. When this was
completed the 60 participants went out on the track with Mark-Tami, Dr. Audrey,
and Kevin for their vehicle dynamic ride on the handling course. Each
participant was asked to evaluate the event before they left. When
the results were tabulated, it was unanimous that the event was informative and
a monstrous success. Employee enthusiasm is returning under the
chairmanship of W.C.Ford.

greatest
experiences a person can have!" "Everyone is so nice, the fans,
the NFL
staff, the players, that one can't help being excited." "I truly
feel very
privileged to be a part of this great event".

Visteon Driver
Invited to Detroit School
Students
encouraged to use their
HEADS
Audrey was invited to speak to
the students at St. Christopher grade school in Detroit. She was asked to speak
to the 7th and 8th grade classes. Audrey encouraged them to take
responsibility for their lives as she talked to the about their Health, using
and gaining Experience, Academics and their importance, and Determination to be

As Audrey was walking the 7th
and 8th grade classroom she passed the 5th and 6th grade classroom in her
Visteon driver's uniform. These children wanted to know what a race driver was
doing in their school and asked their teacher to ask Audrey to stop by. Audrey
accepted their invitation and was greeted by a rousing cheer from the children.
A day after the visit, Audrey
received a call from the school principal. In essence, the principal said that
when the children told their parents about who had visited their school and the

Visteon
Driver Invited to Karting Event
Audrey was invited to take part
in a Kart race staged at Tony Eckrich's Kart to Kart in Sterling Heights. When
the night began there were over 40 participants. The competition was very good
and included a driver who had just won a Kart event in Las Vegas, a driver from
Brazil, and others. The competition was competent and intense. As all of you
know, Audrey does not race Karts. Nevertheless, when the Karts were lined up
in a staggered
formation for the start, Audrey
qualified 4th. As the race began, Audrey made a great pass on the 3rd place
driver and went after the 2nd place driver. It took her most of the race and
many attempts however, she finally got by him and had a great 2nd place finish
for the event. Just before the race began one of the other drivers was
kiddingly blocking the door that led to the track. He said that was about the
"only way he could stop her".

Chesterfield Event a Huge Success!
Audrey's visit to the Visteon Chesterfield Plant can be best described as a
smashing success. Audrey spent the day with the employees interacting with
both shifts. The Plant Chairman (Frank) participated and had many pictures
taken with Audrey and the Panoz race car that was there. It takes many people
to make this event exciting. They include Pam, Julie, Mark, Mike, Joey, and the
employees themselves. The event featured a 3 foot high layered cake with
Audrey's name and history making car # at the top. This work force is top notch
as represented by the plant manager (Joe), the HR manager (Jane), to every last
person. A great event made even greater by working together.
Audrey gave a speech on 'Overcoming Obstacles' and shared some racing footage
and her flight with the Air Force Thunderbirds with the appreciative audience.
Audrey Gives Rides At Waterford Hills
Audrey was invited to drive a Ford Focus V-8 at Waterford, a George Huisman
Classic Design prepared Mustang race car, and Scott Hoag's American Muscle
Mustang. She took the vehicles around the track at a healthy clip while giving
those in attendance a taste of what it is like to be in vehicle at close to race
speed. The participants had many positive words to say about our products and
Audrey's ability to safely negotiate the race course with them in the car.
KTP Honors Audrey
Some of the KTP employees met Audrey when she was signing autographs at the Ford
Centennial. They have kept track of the Visteon sponsored driver since that
time. They now have a picture of Audrey proudly displayed in the KTP 'prove

On Friday Audrey attended the Ann Arbor Rolling Car Show. After a rain shower,
the people began to come. Audrey had a great time signing autographs and
answering questions about racing, Visteon, Ford Motor Company, and more.
Several people surprised Audrey by seeking her out and that included 'Top Hat
John' who is approaching legendary status with his automotive involvement.
During the rain delay Audrey was able to go to dinner with one of the show's
organizers, Chris Finney.
On Saturday, Audrey attended the IHRA event at Milan dragway. She was invited

Audrey just received this note. It is positive and is the reason that
Audrey races. It is from the Professional Women's Network.
Audrey Zavodsky -- Audrey was an incredible asset to our booth, drawing in a
non-stop crowd to talk with her and to get her autograph.
Audrey is such an amazing person - a registered nurse for Ford Motor
company who also has her M.S. in Administration and her Ph.D. in Human and
Organization Systems. Of course, she's also a race car driver!
Sponsored
by Visteon, Audrey is part of the Panoz racing series and has a laundry
list of racing highlights. Not to mention she also has flown jet
aircrafts with the United States Air Force and is a motivational speaker!
THANK YOU AUDREY for taking time out of your busy schedule to support PWN

1500 Signed Visteon Hero Cards
Audrey joined the Ford Professional Women's Network (PWN) to sign autographs at
the very successful Ford Centennial held this past weekend. She was there
from 3 to 6PM on Friday, 10AM to Noon on Saturday and Sunday. On
Saturday and Sunday she left the PWN to join the Panoz exhibit at the Ford Parts
and Components tent. She spent about 2 hours each day with Panoz.
Audrey was an unannounced attraction.
Audrey said that she was "surprised at how many people stopped by to talk
and visit with her". When the final total was in she had signed over
1500 Visteon hero cards during the 3 day event. Audrey also said that
"it was great to be a small part of the Ford Centennial".
At the PWN exhibit, Audrey's presence was proof positive for many autograph
seekers that Ford Motor Company valued its women employees. Her presence
drew attention to the many contributions that women have made over the years for
the company. Many said that they were very "proud" to have
Audrey represent Visteon. The statement also held true for Ford Motor
Company.
At the Panoz exhibit Audrey sat in a cutaway version of the Panoz roadster.
In this environment Audrey attracted many people to the car that ordinarily
would not have stopped. She would not only autograph a Visteon hero card
for the fan, she answered their questions and elaborated on the excellent
characteristics of the vehicle.
The Ford Centennial was a terrific event that provided Audrey the opportunity to
talk about her sponsor and their commitment to her racing, her career at the
Ford Motor Company, and the Panoz car that she drives competitively.

Mr. Phil Gordon of FMCC, arranged for Audrey to visit Tonda elementary
school in Canton and participate in 'Racing for Reading'. The teachers,
staff, and students had many pleasant surprises for Audrey.
Including,
but not limited to, signs on the outside of the various classrooms with
her name and picture on them, 'winner' receiving lines, high fives,
beautiful smiles, and energy that was out of this world. Audrey did not
disappoint them as she read a story to these bright eyed learners about a
girl who was born on and worked on a farm that was now the race driver in
front of them. Audrey shared film clips of her races with the children
and many gifts compliments of Visteon, Ford Motor Credit Company, Ford
Racing, Ford Motor Company, National Football League, Central Michigan
University, and Bob Bondurant. Audrey was impressed with the teachers and
students who made her feel welcome.
The event was captured on the front page of the Canton Observer on
Thursday, March 20th. The attention that these children gave to Audrey
during the presentation was spell binding. Audrey presented the teachers
with Visteon coffee mugs (the teachers remarked that it was the first time
that they had ever been mugged) before she left and thanked them for
allowing her to take part in this fantastic 'Race for Reading' program.

Audrey Attends Bob Bondurant's 35th Anniversary
Audrey was invited by Mr. Bondurant to be a part of the 35th anniversary of his
school. This was an event that was attended by such notables as Mr. Phil
Remington. He was responsible for much of the body innovations on the AC
Cobras. Audrey also participated in giving 'hot laps' to the people in
attendance. She was provided with a Corvette Z 06 for this event.
The party went on all day with Helicopter rides, great giveaways, a live band
from Las Vegas, and much, much more. Mr. Bondurant was given many gifts
including an outstanding personalized 35th anniversary leather jacket by
his staff.
It was a great event and Audrey said that she was "surprised to be invited
and to spend time with racing legend, Bob Bondurant".
Mosler MT 900 Is In Audrey's Portfolio!

Audrey poses with Jack Brown and Corvette
Mike in front of Mosler MT900.

During the anniversary party, Corvette Mike rolled out a Mosler MT 900. He
spoke with Audrey and then decided to let her take it for some "hot
laps". When they came back in, he was impressed with Audrey's driving
technique and decided to try to match Audrey's lap times. He went out and
promptly spun this beautiful $180,000.00 machine. He then asked
Audrey to take some more laps in the car. Of course, she was happy to
oblige.
Seat Time in a Corvette Z06
Mr. Bondurant made a Z 06 available to Audrey during this week. She
promptly went out and knocked out some very impressive times with this vehicle.
The other advanced drivers and instructors watched as she improved her times
each time she went around the advanced track.

The Cadillac CTS is now in Audrey's portfolio of cars driven. This is the
vehicle that Mr. Bondurant is now using at his school for the many courses that
he offers.

Audrey was invited as a guest to the Robbie Buhl 'Racing for Kids' last night.
This event took place at Tony Ekrich's 'Kart to Kart' facility in Sterling
Heights. This event raises money for children in Hospitals. As part
of the excitement of the evening, Robbie and Sara raced in a pre-selected group.
Sara raced Karts for many years before moving up to the IRL. Robbie and
Sara had several laps under their belt before Audrey was able to get some laps
in. Even though Audrey does not race Karts she was able to set the crowd
abuzz with a quick time of 29.95 seconds versus Robbie's best of 29.97 and
Sara's best 29.92. Audrey also signed many of her Visteon Hero Cards as
many in the crowd wanted to know who she was and why she was so fast.
Even though this was a charity event, race driver's do not like to be beat.
You must also remember that Audrey and Robbie do know one another. It was
in this spirit that Audrey and Robbie went out one last time with a group of
drivers. The Karts were gridded in such a way that Robbie went out 2nd and
Audrey went out 8th. The races are 10 laps. Robbie was surprised
when Audrey caught him with 2 laps to go and passed him. Of course, Robbie
knows just about every trick in the book and for the last 2 laps he got close
enough to 'bump' Audrey from behind. However, it was to no avail as Audrey
held on to first place. Robbie (good naturedly) continued to tap Audrey
from behind in the grid area. When he got out of his Kart he said
"you know that was me bumping you". Audrey said, "yes I
did". They continued to talk as racers commonly do. Robbie
thanked Audrey for coming and for her support.
Audrey did wear her Visteon race shirt to this event. As she raced in each
event and continued to finish 1st and now worse than 2nd, more and more of those
present came over to meet her. This was a successful charity event and
Audrey was appreciative of being able to play a part in its overall success.
One thing for sure, Audrey will continue to cheer Robbie and Sara on to victory.
Those in the crowd that met Audrey wished her the same.
In closing, Audrey would like to wish each of you a very Happy, and Blessed
Thanksgiving!

It is always interesting where and when an article will show up about Audrey.
The first article showed up in the Huron News. The next article showed up
in, are ready for this (?), in the Church bulletin! Both articles dealt
with Audrey's finish in the American Le Mans series. The Church bulletin
was read by more people than we thought as people continue to come up to her and
say things like, "we didn't know you raced" - "would you
autograph the bulletin" - "congratulations" and a lot more. So, 2
very pleasant articles about our Visteon sponsored driver.

This note is from a teacher at Sterling Heights Stevenson. These are high
school students involved in the Ford FAMS (Ford Academy of Manufacturing
Sciences) group. We had met some of these students at Milan Dragway.
The teacher asked for another group of cards to be sent to his school for his
students. The following is his reply. (by the way, we sent one to
him after we received this note)
The pictures went over really great. As I started passing them out, the
kids were all over me to get theirs. One fellow was late and I had already
put aside his card and the disappointment on his face told all. He
eventually got his and was again a happy camper. Of course, I didn't get
boo, so I know where I sit on the pecking order.
The pictures that he is referring to are Audrey's Visteon hero cards.
These hero cards have been sent to any fan that asks for one. For
instance, we have sent several to Europe. Her hero card is on
websites in Germany and England. Her signed hero cards have also been
auctioned off at charity events.

Audrey was invited to speak to high school students at Wayne Memorial High
School in Wayne, Michigan. One of the reasons for this invitation is that
the teacher in charge (Ms. Tomlinson) had heard that Audrey was very good at
encouraging people to make more out of their lives by hard work, education, and
perseverance. There were only 50 students scheduled and many more than
that number showed up to listen Audrey's presentation. This event took
place during the school lunch hour (11AM until noon). The staff at Wayne
Memorial are very concerned about their drop out rate and the lack of motivation
of these students. Too many of these students are of the mentality
that all they need to do for the rest of their life is manicure lawns.
Audrey began her discussion with these students by talking about her background
as a farmer and how she worked her way from the fields to corporate America.
She then discussed the different jobs and the opportunities that were presented
at the Ford Motor Company and the Visteon Corporation. She explained how
education prepares you for the work force and also how it prepares you for race
car circuit.
At the end of the presentation, according to the teachers, it was evident that
the students were attentive and many came down after the presentation to meet
Audrey and ask her questions. For instance, one young lady was interested
in talking about engineering. Most of them came over to meet Audrey and
shake her hand with the comment, "thank you for coming". This is
a surprising expression according to the teachers because a good percentage of
these students just want to work the assembly line and comment (in regards to
school) that "they don't need this crap".
Audrey ended her session by giving each of the students an autographed Visteon
hero card with the message to "stay in school and succeed".

The Women's Consumer Insight Team (WCIT) led by Dr. Audrey Zavodsky conducted a
first ever Driver Evaluation Training event targeted towards women. This
event was held at the Dearborn Proving Grounds on September 25th. The
purpose of this event was to acquaint Ford Motor Company employees with:
* Ford Motor Company's great products
* Necessary driving skills
* Safer Driving habits
* Understanding vehicle dynamics
* Terms necessary to evaluate vehicles
* The talent of the Ford Motor Company employees
* Enthusiasm for the company
* Networking
Dr. Audrey was provided with many vehicles to use for this event including
electric Rangers, a diesel Focus, GT Mustang, six cylinder Mustang, an Explorer
Sport Trac, two Lincoln Navigators, an Explorer, and two new Thunderbirds.
The unannounced star of the show showed up late in typical fashion in the form
of the new Mustang Mach I. This was Audrey's car of choice and easily
tamed the handling course to the pleasure of the participants who all wanted a
ride with the Visteon sponsored driver.
Surveys were provided for the participants to be filled out concerning the
program. There were over 100 employees that took part in the event with an
almost equal number of surveys filled out and turned in. The program was
evaluated using a Likert Scale of 1- 10. The program was rated an
outstanding success based on the raw numbers of 10 and 10+ that were turned.
10 was the highest score on the scale. There were verbal descriptions that
called the program the "best driving and instruction possible".
Dr. Audrey stated that she was "overwhelmed" with the enthusiasm of
the participants and "appreciated the many requests for her Visteon hero
cards."

Audrey was invited by Dr. Shinkus of Central Michigan University to speak
on the subject of Strategic Planning. After this presentation she was
asked to relate Strategic Planning to racing. This experience ended
with
Audrey signing her Visteon 'hero cards' for each of the students.
On Saturday Audrey was invited to the Soap Box Derby event that was held
in the city of Rochester in Michigan. Her role her was to mingle with the
participants, autograph her Visteon hero cards, and discuss racing with
the drivers. There were 100 entrants for this growing event.
Audrey was in Akron, Ohio Saturday evening. The end result of this visit
is that the Football office now has an autographed Visteon hero card in
their office.
On Sunday, Audrey visited a festival that was held at St. Christopher's
Church in Detroit. Audrey met many of the people associated with the
Church and many of the parishioners.

Audrey visited Mott Childrens' Hospital in Ann Arbor yesterday. She went
from room to room visiting with each child while sharing words of
encouragement with them. Audrey gave each child a signed Visteon Hero
card, a Visteon lapel pin, an United States Air Force lapel pin, and a 100
years of racing magazine from the SVO team of Dan Davis. The children
responded extremely well to the visit. While this can be a very difficult
visit it is rewarding when you see the smiles from the children that is
the result of this visit. They are always asked if they would like
these
items and they respond enthusiastically. They are so appreciative of the
fact that they are remembered in these circumstances. i.e. The eyes of
the world from the child's viewpoint.

Surprise! Some friends sent us a maganzine called 'SEMA NEWS'. On
page 22 of the July 2002 is a picture of Audrey showing a young fan the inside
of her Panoz race car. It always great to get these surprises.
Surprise again! Audrey was also stopped in the airport by some
people traveling from Indianapolis. They asked her if she was the race
driver that they had read about in an Indianapolis newspaper the prior week.
She did not know about either of these publications and it is a great
feeling to know about these articles and that the image of Visteon and Ford are
being portrayed in a positive light as a result of her racing by the various
media.

Audrey signed her first NASCAR tire yesterday. On the tire were the
signatures of Dale Jarrett, Mark Martin and now...... Dr. Audrey Zavodsky.
Who would have thought?
Audrey was invited by the Truck Marketing group to sign autographs at
their exhibit at Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indiana. She had a line
waiting for autographs for 3.5 hours straight and signed about 400 Visteon Hero
cards. Being a part of this great line-up of Ford trucks was a great
experience.
While she was there she met the Indianapolis crew who were representing
Visteon manufacturing plan. We were able to exchange some great comments
with the through out the event. They said that they really enjoyed meeting
the Visteon sponsored driver and Audrey was equally impressed with their
enthusiasm for her racing and the products they manufactured for
customers. This was a very pleasant surprise and experience for both
parties.
Campbell and company handled this event for Ford Motor Company and it must
be said that the job they did at making Audrey comfortable in the 90 degree plus
heat and equally high humidity was impressive and appreciated.

Audrey participated in the Ford Product and Review event at MPG. This was
a 5 day event that demonstrated that Ford vehicles have better ride and handling
characteristics that the competition. Audrey worked the Vehicle Dynamics
wet and dry events as well as spending a day with Jackie Stewart, the retired
Formula One race car driver.
We were amazed at how many news people recognized Audrey. Many of
them requested that she take them for a drive on one of the courses.
Unfortunately, she could only accommodate a few of them because of the time
constraints. Some of the reporters amazed her with what they knew about
her racing accomplishments.
This past weekend Audrey raced at Nelson Ledges in Ohio. This
was her first visit to the track. When we arrived our mechanic said
that he would be happy if she could get the car into the 1.16 second range.
The motor was new and is a sealed motor from the SCCA. It was
installed just before the car was brought to Nelson Ledges. The mechanic
(Phil) did not have time to get it to the dyno. So, out Audrey went in
practice and got the car down into the 1:17 range. In qualifying she
dropped the time to 1:16 seconds and the pole sitter had a 1:158.
On Sunday, there was a 20 minute hardship time period. Audrey went
out and was staying in the 1:17 range when she came into the pit for some
chassis adjustments. She went out and blasted a 1:158 time to match the
pole sitter. Truly an amazing time for never having raced on this track
before
At the start of the race Audrey made an inside move that was blocked by
one of the drivers in front of her. This pushed her back to 9th
place. Audrey continued to go after the leaders when her rear brakes began
locking up at lap 6. This continued until about lap 17 of the 23 lap
race. While this was going on she somehow moved up to 6th place. She
was dogged during this time until the end of the race with a very competitive
rookie. The racing between them was something to watch as both
drivers did an amazing job of avoiding contact while racing to win. Audrey
managed to hold on to 6th and began closing in on 5th after the brakes on her
race car stopped locking up during the last few laps of the race.

Audrey was invited to participate in the Ann Arbor Car Show this past weekend.
Audrey was there from 4PM to 8PM. She signed just over 100 Visteon hero
cards. What was neat was this. Before we left, we looked at some of
the cars and there prominently displayed in this car was the hero card Audrey
had signed for this person.
On Monday, Audrey participated in a huge event that was organized by Ford Motor
Company Public Affairs. This event was held at the Michigan Proving Grounds.
She worked the wet dynamic area and the precision handling course. Later,
she met up with Jackie Stewart and they did some hot laps on the hill course.
She spoke with many of the Public Affairs people and several of the Top
100 dealers that were there.

The Soap Box Derby held its qualifiers for the Akron championships this past
weekend in Flint, Michigan. The event had several Soap Box Derby officials
there as well as entertainment, music, and guests. Audrey was invited to

dignitaries that were present. Unlimited hydro plane driver Mark Webber
was one of the racers invited to participate.

Audrey is on the front page of the Nursing Profile magazine. I have to say
that this is quite an honor. A huge thanks to Tracy Boyd, Bridget A.
Barrett, and Larry Edsall for all the work they put into making this happen.
Last night Audrey visited an elementary school in Dearborn and spoke to several
Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts about racing, car safety, vehicle dynamics and how to
be successful in your endeavors. To say that the response by these future
Americans was Dynamic is an understatement.

The NFL Alumni cares about the communities in America. They use their
considerable wealth of NFL alumni to donate millions of dollars to scores
of youth-related charities nationwide. The NFL alumni members touch the
lives of thousands of children each year. The present members of the NFL
as well as the alumni combine their talents to enhance the lives of those that
are less fortunate as well as giving children goals to achieve with their many
events. They capture these treasures in a magazine that is called Legends
2002.
This magazine is a first class publication. To be included in this
magazine with all of these great players would indeed be an honor. Along
with the many names such as Steve Bartkowski, Earl Morrall, Johnny Unitas,
George Blanda, and Joe Theismann we find Visteon Race Driver Audrey Zavodsky.
She is on p.37 of the publication. Audrey is pictured because of her
appearance with approximately 1000 local girls at the NFL Cheer Leading Clinic
held in New Orleans. Audrey was one of the invited motivational speakers.
The magazine was accompanied by a letter from Frank W. Krauser, President and
Chief Executive Officer of NFL Alumni, Inc. The NFL experience and the
professional way that they conduct their affairs draws attention to the fact of
Audrey's appreciation for being a part of this experience with so many NFL
stars. Audrey was joined by USA sports writer Jilll Lieber and others in
this great experience.

The SAE team was in town to put on their Formula SAE event at the Pontiac
Silverdome. Audrey was invited to attend their hospitality suite and to
autograph her Visteon hero cards. This event went very well as the college
crowd was well represented with over 100 schools participating. Audrey
also worked the medical for SAE on Thursday and Saturday. Several of the
teams heard about Audrey and sent team members to the Medical trailer to meet
her and obtain her autograph.
Audrey was privileged to be invited and did attend the screening of the movie
'100 Years of Ford Racing' which was presented at the WHQ auditorium.
Mr. Edsel Ford provided the opening remarks and special guest John Force was
also in attendance. After the showing, John entertained questions from the
audience.

On Friday, Audrey participated in a photo shoot for Nursing Profile
magazine. The event started at the Dearborn Engine and Fuel Tank Plant
(DEFP) at 2:30 PM. The pictures were taken outdoors and it was very windy.
Nevertheless, this would be the only opportunity before the magazine's
deadline so, the event continued on. Stan Madej of DEFP made the
arrangements for this to take place which included the prep and display of
a Spec Racer Ford racer car. Jim Head, DEFP plant manager, joined Audrey
for some pictures. A big thank you to Jim and Stan for making this
happen. The circulation for this magazine is 70,000 plus.
While Audrey was at DEFP she signed many autographs as employees that work
in the area would come by to see what was going on. This event lasted
until 7:45 PM. Later this same evening, Audrey was invited as a guest to
attend a high school's prom.

This past Thursday Audrey supported "Bring your kid to work day" at
Visteon's Danou Technical Center, SVT's Office, VOME office, and Building #2/PDC.
We were pleasantly surprised at the overwhelming support that was given to
her at all of the locations. It was none stop autograph signing. It
culminated with the session at Bldg. #2 where they were as many as 50 people
deep waiting patiently in line. Audrey was suppossed to finish at 3:00PM.
In order to accomodate everyone she was still signing at 3:45PM.
We also found out that Audrey was the lead-in story at the CBS affliate station
in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This was the result of her appearance at a Fort
Wayne mall that was at the invitation of the SCCA. This is quite an honor.
She was also featured in the Fort Wayne, Indiana SCCA publication.

Audrey was privileged to be a part of Ford Motor Company's introduction of the
Mustang Mach I. This event took place in New York City at Manhattan Ford.
Manhattan Ford is a several story parking structure turned in to a Dealership.
The setting for the introduction was that after all the media people were
gathered on the 3rd level of the building, Audrey would come around the corner
with a the new Interceptor Ford police car in hot pursuit. Audrey had Ford
Division President, Jim O'Connor with her and Vice President Chris Theodore
accompanied the other driver.
As the media people gathered in to a room that had a very subtle restaurant
setting with a roped off area, the shrill sound of a police siren split the air.
The next sound they heard was the Mach I's tires grabbing for traction.
The Mach I's tires whistled as Audrey drove the Mustang up the curved ramp from
the second floor and brought the car to a halt in front of the media with the
police car in hot pursuit.
Chris and Jim, then did a reenactment of someone being pulled over after a
chase. Jim said that he wasn't concerned about the high rate of speed that
they came up the ramp with because he was with an accomplished and proven race
car driver. He announced that she was sponsored by the Visteon Corporation
and was employed by the Ford Motor Company as a Corporate Nurse. He also
mentioned her recent 2nd place finish in the Pro GT series.
Chris and Jim continued to talk about the features of the two vehicles and the
excitement at Ford Motor Company about building them. The media was
anxious to take a closer look and were impressed by what they saw. They
had several questions about the new vehicles. Audrey was besieged by
several of the media people asking questions as well as fielding questions about
her professional driving experience.
Jim Padilla, executive vice president was also there along with Car Line
Director, Mike Zevalkink and his wife Anna. There was a host of Ford
representatives such as communications director Dan Bedore that also attended
this event.
The next day Audrey addressed the Women's Automotive Association International
at the Jacob Javits center which is where the New York Auto Show is
headquartered. The facilities were top notch and the speech was
enthusiastically received by the audience. Audrey gave out many packages
of Ford items that were provided by the company along with her Visteon hero
cards. Audrey fielded several questions about Visteon, its products and
services.
Audrey then went upstairs by the Ford exhibit to sign autographs by the Mach I
and other Ford vehicles. Audrey was asked by the VW people to come over
because they wanted to meet her and had Audrey sign Visteon hero cards for them.
This scene was repeated at many of the exhibits.
Audrey was very proud of being able to this for the Ford Motor Company as well
as give her race sponsor some publicity. Mr. Chris Theodore arranged for
Audrey to be a part of this Mustang Mach I introduction.>

On Sunday, Audrey was asked by Fort Wayne chapter of the SCCA to join them at a
mall also located in Fort Wayne. Audrey arrived at the mall around noon
and stayed until the mall closed at 5PM. They made Audrey feel very
welcome and a part of the show. They had several cars on display including
Audrey's SRF racer, a Ford Focus, a 1966 Mustang and many others. They had
a VCR and monitor which played Audrey's races and some of her appearances.
It was also neat that some employees of Visteon, Audrey's race sponsor, stopped
by to meet her and wish her luck.
Audrey was busy from the time that she arrived until she left with requests for
autographs, etc. Channel 15 (a CBS affiliate) arrived to interview Audrey
and the event. We want all to know that Audrey really appreciated being
invited to participate in this event.
This Wednesday, Audrey has been invited to introduce the new Mustang with
executive Vice President, Mr. Chris Theodore and Ford Division President, Mr.
Jim O'Connor. This is truly an exciting opportunity and we will tell you
how well it went when we get back.
In the interim, Happy Easter!

Audrey visited the Porsche club of America on Saturday. We were told
ahead of time that these people were "stodgy" and that they leave the
meetings early.
Well, here are the facts. More people showed up than they expected.
Audrey didn't get to speak until 9:10PM. She was finished at about 9:40PM.
Everyone, including Audrey, was still there at 10:30PM. They were getting
autographs as well as talking racing. It was a lot of fun thanks to the
Porsche members interaction.

Audrey visited the Central Michigan University campus in Livonia last week.
She spoke to the Master's level class about Organizational Theory and design
from a race driver's perspective. She generated a lot of interest and each
student asked for a 'hero' card. Audrey emphasized that as the Visteon
sponsored race driver it has opened many doors for her including a flight with
the United States Air Force Thunderbirds.
On Friday, Audrey was in Atlanta addressing the Ford Academy of Manufacturing
Sciences (FAMS) students at Terrell High School. This is an all minority
school. The students proved to be one of the brightest, quickest, most
appreciative classes that Audrey has addressed. When asked questions after
the presentation about what Audrey had talked about (get this) not one student
knew the answer but all 45 plus echoed the correct answer in unison!
Audrey was awarded a 'pin' by the students as a token of their appreciation for
her being there. This class had 4 (that is correct) student athletes going
on to play college sports. Their academic average was in the 3.0 range.
They were very polite and requested that we join them for lunch. They were
thrilled with Audrey's Visteon sponsored video races and the piece on the Air
Force Thunderbirds.
Audrey's Panoz GT race was interesting as usual. When it came time for her
to do the first qualifying session, it was discovered that her neck brace, race
gloves, and nomex head covering had taken a walk. In spite of this
disruption and the turmoil of finding a pair of race gloves to use, she
qualified next to the pole setter. In this series, you are paired up with
another driver. He races in a separate division with the same car.
Well, he promptly went out to qualify with the car and wrecked it. Because
they use the best qualifying times of both sessions to form the starting grid,
this meant that Audrey had to take out a new car and learn its characteristics.
Audrey brought this car home in 4th position.
During the race, Audrey had a great start and had 3rd place 6 laps into the
thirty minute race. On the next lap she came into turn 10A on the bumper
of the second place car. She had set him up for a pass when another driver
who smoked his tires half way down the hill in to turn 10A, hit Audrey in the
left side door. This reckless act should have been black flagged but was
not. Audrey's car was put in 360 degree spin. Audrey managed to keep
the car on track. She accelerated as soon as the spin stopped and
proceeded up the hill however, 7 cars had passed her and she was now in 10th
place. In the next few laps Audrey worked her was up to 6th place and at
the checker flag was on the bumper of the car in 5th place. Audrey was
consistently turning the second fastest laps in the race and could have easily
finished in first or second if it weren't for this contact.
The banquet for the series was held after the race and was given her
awards for finishing in 2nd place in the Panoz GT series and for 3rd place in
the Panoz GT Pro series. Audrey was clearly the crowd favorite as she drew
the loudest and most pro-longed applause.

Audrey was invited to be on the Car Guy radio station on Saturday. Steve
Ford is the car guy and Bob Stockton is with Steve. The two of them are
quite a combination of conversation and car knowledge. Audrey talked about
her many endeavors including racing, Visteon, motivational speaking.
Audrey is to speak at Central Michigan's campus in Livonia this Thursday.
This is an Organizational theory class and Audrey will relate theory to a
successful race team and career.
On Friday, Audrey will address a FAMS (Ford Academy of Manufacturing Science)
class in Atlanta.
On Saturday and Sunday, Audrey will be qualifying and racing at Road
Atlanta. This is part of the Panoz GT series and will be the last race of
the year.
The GT Pro series has a tentative schedule for television. The
schedule is:
Sunday, December 2nd, noon - March Sebring Race
Monday, January 7th, 8PM - August Mosport race
Monday, January 14th, 9PM - October Road Atlanta Race

Audrey participated in this event last night. She was featured along with
Robbie Buhl of the IRL and John Heinricy of the World Challenge. They were
featured in a race with the 3 of them that ended up in a photo finish. Our
Visteon driver had a slight advantage going into the turn before the start/
finish line.
While the event was over at 9:00PM, Audrey stayed until the last autgraph was
signed at 10:45PM. It was quite amazing that adjoining business employees
had heard that Audrey was there and came over hoping to get an autograph after
there business had closed. Some brought napkins, etc. for her to autograph
not realizing that she had her 'hero' cards with her.
It was a great event and the children who need some help the most will benefit.
As an aside, Audrey has been invited to participate with Robbie Buhl in 2002 at
a charity event when the IRL comes to MIS. (if Audrey's schedule has her

Audrey was part of the Lincoln Town Car 'Reveal' which took place yesterday at
the Henry Ford Estates. The place was saturated with the news media, Ford
Executives including Brian Kelley, Jim O'Connor, William Clay Ford, Nick Scheele
and host of other executives. Audrey removed the car cover on cue from Mr.
Kelley. She was also introduced by the executives to the media as the
Visteon Race Driver. It was a great event and Audrey felt very honored to
be able to represent the company and product at this event.
Audrey also received notification that the chapter that she had written for a
book about racing had been accepted. The author for the book is Paul
Stanfield.
While vacationing (first one in 5 years), Audrey was having Thanksgiving
dinner at Disneyworlds' Ohana restaurant, when the entertainer, Kaleo

dinner. Audrey signed many autographs.
Audrey has also been asked by team to join them for the 24 hours of Morosso and
possibly the 24 hours of Daytona. She is reviewing the financials and
other logistics to see if this can be fit in to her budget and schedule.
On December 7th Audrey will be visiting a FAMS (Ford Academy of Manufacturing
